PETRONAS EDUCAMP hari kedua.

okayh. here come the scariest part of the EDUCAMP. it was THE INTERVIEW!!!!

everybody became very nervous including me of cz. we were divided into 4 session. there were A, B, C, n D session. i got D session. in each session, we were divided into panels. there were 25 panels altogether. i was in panel 2. in each panel, we were divided into sequences. sequence means turn. my sequence was 4.

so i was in session D, panel 2, sequence 4.

session A n B had their assessment (interview) during morning. session C n D had to seat for few tests at the morning n wud gone for their assessment during afternoon.

the tests started at 8.30 am. the tests were divided into three. 1st test is the english proficiency test. the test took one hour. the test was for testing our efficiency in english. for those who are good in english n are superb in that subject, u dun have to worry much cz u can answer the questions for sure. the test had 50 questions that must be answered in one hour.

after that, we were given the critical reasoning test. this test was a killer test for most of us. there were 60 questions that must be answered in 30 minutes. the questions were like we were given a passage n there were 4 statement bout the passage. we must state whether we agreed, not agreed, or cannot say anything bout the passage. so, u guys must think fast! very fast! most of us juz hentam the last questions. including me.heheh.

after those two tests, we were allowed to take some rest bout 15 minutes n had our refreshments.

after some rest, we went back to the main hall n seat for our iq test, i think.the test had 40 questions that must be answered in 20 minutes. as usual, u had to think fast n creative. the test is about diagrams. if u had ever came across any iq tests book, u wud found those questions.

we finished the test at about 11.30 am. we had our lunch n had some rest. at 2.00 pm we went to the block B by bus to had our assessment.

we were put at the waiting room while waiting for session C to finished their case study. after bout 30 minutes of waiting, we were called to go to the transition room. there each panel was placed at a round table. the environment was the same like u having any dinner at hotel or kenduri kawen dkt dewan.

my grup panel was mostly guys. i'm the only gal in the panel. the first sequence was a guy from kelantan. he studied in SMK Al-Amin before. before petronas, he was called for interview in MARA n he was applying for medics. his name is RAHMAN. at UTP, he was applying for geophysics.

the second sequence was a guy from terengganu. his loghat was so pekat.yet he was very funny. i liked him. his name is FARIS. he studied at MJSC YT before. n like rahman, he applied medics n MARA. he was applying for mechanical engineering under UTP programme.

the third sequence guy was NABIL. he studied in sains seremban. he was from gombak, KL. he had applied jpa for pharmacy n now he was appliying for mechanical engineering under UTP programme.

then the forth sequence was me.

we were given a case study which is under topics FOOD FOR THOUGHT. it was under genetic engineer knowledge. we were focusing on genetically modified(GM) food. each sequence had a different recommandation. so, we need to elaborate based on recommandation given. we were provided with research n some background bout the topics itself. so, u need not to worry much or doing some research in the internet bout any topics cz we were oredi provided with the facts.

we were given 30 minutes to think. there were papers for u to jot down anything u wanted. after 30 minutes, we were taken to the the waiting room to be interviewed by the panels.

we were called individually at first. during my individual test, i rate it as not gud enaf n not impressive. during individual session, u need to tell some facts bout ursef n ur backgrounds. then, u have to tell them bout ur elaboration n opinions bout the case given to u.

after all the members in the grup panels had been interviewed individually, we went fo grup interview. there, u shud discussed bout ur case study n ur recommandation. bout wut u shud do with ur case study. that's all.. nothing much.

so..i think i've given clear figure bout how the interviews is going on. for those who are going there, gud luck n best wishes from me..

p/s : actlly, i dun really hope to get this scholar based on my performance. i wasn't that gud. but, people, when u heard anybody who got petronas scholars, believe me, they were super genius n had a super great leadership quality. so, if u've made it to get the scholar, cogratulation!! u were among the great people. however, the experience during the educamp is the experience i wud remember as the most valuable ones.

PETRONAS EDUCAMP 2008 hari pertama

Okay, I just wanna share with u guys about my fresh experience of going to PETRONAS sponsorship programme or known as EDUCAMP. Before this, I've attended JPA scholarship interview but I didn't write a post about it cause I don't think I'm good enough to give any advice to the you candidates.

BUT!!

It doesn't mean that I excelled in my PETRONAS' interview. It's just I wanna share some experience going through all the hardship. Believe me, this interview, is the most competitive interview I've ever attended. Like my batch, the guys are 4:1 compared to the girls. So, some of the girls got intimidated.

Actually, I was quite surprise that I got the chance to go to this EDUCAMP thingy in UTP, Tronoh, Perak. Cause I don't expect that I would get shortlisted. I thought I'd never met their requirement. But, alhamdulillah, thank GOD, ALLAH is almighty HE gives to those who HE wants and I'm one of the lucky people who got the chance. I was very thankful for that.

EDUCAMP was held for two days. i was in the first batch. so, our EDUCAMP starts on 15th April to 16th April.

I arrived at UTP around 7.55 am. At that time, I saw lotsa people there. I was like 'wowed!!' I was looking for my friends from MJSC BESERI, but I saw no one.

I went for some briefing about the hostel. We were given the map of UTP. Believe me, the map and the actual road are quite different. My hostel is at village 2. My room was at the highest level which is at 4 or 5..something like that, I can't remember. My roommate was also an ex MJSC student. She was from MJSC KOPU. She came all the way from Terengganu which is well, quite far from here.

After we've checked in, we are required to go to the Chancellor Complex. Believe me, you would be impress by the architectural design. I dunno how the architect could imagine to build such place. I'll tell u bout the libraries later.

We need to register everything all by ourselves as the parents were required to enter the hall first. We're required to give all the documents asked together with the akujanji and the bank receipt. i dunno that we're required to bring the bank receipt, so i told the officer that I didn't brought them (in fact, I lose it!!) the officer said that it was okay as long as I've made my payment. I got my EDUCAMP ID NO. which is 100129.

After the registration, we went upstairs straight to the hall. There, at the hall, I saw REVATHY, NADIA LDP, and ROSMIZA 5K. But, we didn't talked much cause everybody seems to have their own cliques but me. :( But, thank god, I met my roommates. So, I just stay with her.

At the hall, they gave us some briefing about UTP and PETRONAS instituition itself.

After the official perasmian, parents were allowed to leave the hall and went back but if some who wants to remain, they're allowed to do so.

During the second session, there were 2 UTP students who told us about their experience studying in UTP. One from Malaysia, and one from South Africa. The way they told us bout their experience being a student there make us excited plus,like what the officer told us that almost 80% of job employment are guaranteed.

After the session ended, we went for our lunch at the place where we first arrived. After that, there were buses waiting for us to take us back to our hostel.

At about 2.30 pm, we were taken by bus to the Main Hall. There, we were required to took a PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST. It was to check what personality we have, I think. The questions were quite different from the psychology test that always held by the caunselors at maktab before. (according to my friends, this test was actually to be submitted to Petronas for sponsorship purpose. wallahualam)

After we finished our test, we're taken to the Chancellor Complex again and were divided into groups according to the course that we applied.



I was in the group of mechanical engineering 2. In our group, there were only 4 girls including me and there are almost a hundred guys with us. The seniors (our facies) took us to the IRC (library) in front of the Chancellor Hall. The library is very big. They have 6 stairs of racks that are fully loaded with books. We were told that there were almost 190 000 books in the IRC. But, we noticed some of the racks were empty, imagine if all the racks are all full with books, by then, they wud be almost a million of books there!

UTP has broadband wireless internet connection as well as 3G. So, it wud be very convinient for those who study there. After we enjoyed ourself at UTP, we went to the labs. It was gorgeous. At first, I wasn't excited about the idea of continuing studying in UTP. But, after I saw all the facilities and their multinasional study culture I think those who get to study here are very lucky.

During the night, we were taken to the chancellor hall to get some briefing about tomorrow's interview. Here, u should listen very carefully all the instructions bout the buses, the timing, and the places. Or else, u wud not know what u have to do. they were some briefing bout the documents that have to be certififed. So, u dun have to worry if u dont bring enough documents cause u can fax it to them later. Wuteva it is, just listen carefully to what they're talking bout.

the students were moving out to get back to the hostel to pepare for tomorrow's interview.

6m 2002

this 19th apr, me n moq are planning to make a gathering to reunite our primary school's friends at sek. keb. tanjong karang. those who are involved mainly from 6 merah 2002, my beloved class. we want to ask the teacher to join us, our beloved cekgu zakiah. but, i have found her number yet. can't remember where i put it.

we've set the date, n the venue. the gathering gonna be held at bukit malawati. i've told my mum bout the gathering. when i mentioned bukit malawati, she said :

"x takot kene tgkp basah ke?"

i wuz like.. wert??? hahahaha. she thought that there wud be only me n moq at the bukit. kih3. when i said the whole class gonna be there too, she juz gimme the look. ya noe what look it is. hehe.

when i first recalled the tyme when i was twelve. i cud only remember the good things. haha. it was a very joyful tyme n everybody wuz like struggling so very hard to achieve 5a's in their upsr as if they can use the result to enter the university. haha. so am i.

i remember my lovely darling, JULIA. she's my best friend at that time. i dunno how i can get along with her. but it seems like there were lotsa chemistry between us. she cud understand me n i can understand her. we can share lotsa things together even we haven't met for a very long time. and i cud never forget the presents she gave me. she was soo very nice n i laff her lot.

and there was RAIHANA. she's also my best friend. plus, we look alike n people always made a mistake by calling me raihana, n she was called as mira. haha. very funny. the things bout raihana that i cud never forget is that she was very intelligent. she is the fast learner. smpoi, but very moody. her fav victim was me. but, i also laff to make her mad at me. no matter what, we cud get along soo very well. we can't never be apart. where there is raihana, there wud be mira. we're more like twins.

AINIL was my childhood bestfriend. we grew up together at the same housing area. she knew my family well and i knew her family well. we're both the eldest child in our family but she has little sister n i got my little brother. our lil brada n sistah are both at the same age too. juz, they didn't get along well like us. ainil is a kinda mysterious gal. she hide lotsa secrets. and i'll owez b the one who got to know bout it n owez b the one who want to noe bout it (i'm kinda busybody by the way) hehe. she's the lovely person n soo very girlish.

my one perfectionist friend is SYUHADA. she wanted everything to be so perfect n soo well organized n this used to be the reason why we had our fight. we owez compete uring exams to see who got higher marks for certain subjects n usually our fav subjects is ALL THE SUBJECTS! hahaha. there was once, it was kinda test to prepare us for our upsr. me, faridah, n some other gals in our click got n A for our science. but, i can't recall wut grade she got. but juz, believe me. she wanted the marks so badly till she count the marks in the bracket (u noe the marks provided for the answer that was placed at the bottom of the question). n she found out that the marks given was not 50. it's only 47 if i'm not mistaken. soo, all of our marks gotta be changed n she got what she wanted. the marks.

if there was a person who cud be awarded as the most stubborn feelingless person, she cud be FARIDAH. genius is in her gene. her sistah and her lil bro is very faymes for their excellent results. so do her. but she was very stubborn. i've had a fight with her bout this issue. she kinda offended by my behaviour but i think, it was so very silly to get offended for that kinda thing. no need for me to explain what kinda thing it is. just let say, she didn't want to talk or even look at me for about three or four days. kinda like that. i was suffered. u noe, i really hate tis kinda fight like "aku xnak kawan dgn ko lgi dah!" so childish. so,i juz print out a card from my computer. like a letter of apology to her. n we became friends like we used to. huh.wuteva it is, she's nice n cute. everybody love her dimples! so do i!

YATIE! she's the sweetest gal i've eva met. she's kewl, nice n friendly. she cud offer u help anytime u wanted. she's very adorable. i can't see anything bad bout her. she juz so very nice n naive. u can tell her the secrets bout ur lil crime and believe me, no one else wud noe bout it. juz u n her. she's very hardworking. she laff charity n she is faymes. omoz everybody knew her. n they loved her. nice gal neva had foes. she's totally not the bitch!

the award for the best guy friend goes to FARID! aha. like him lot! we'd spent so many times together. he was so very funny. i can laugh till i cramp my tummy when i heard his jokes especially when adam is involved too. he's a shy person n very private. to let ya noe, he's the richest among all of us. but, he kept it as a secret. so humble. he loved to talk to me bout his family. n i laff to hear them. my friends had some issues with me, farid, n adam cz we laff to talk alot. each time teacher gave us the time to do our excercises, both of them wud turned their chairs back n we've gonna chat n talk like krazi. the teacher evn thought to change my place but i promised not to be dat hyper. hehe. n i got some pujian from the teacher cz i still can be excell in my result even i laff to make noise.hehe. not every person in the class can get along with him cz noone noe bout his personal so i consider myself lucky to get to know him well. neway, i hope he cud joined us during the gathering cz i missed him soo much n i really want to know bout what he's doing now. well, we've lost contact after he moved to bangi with his family, n we had kinda personal issues between us. soo, i really hope that he cud be there tis 19th.

the joker of the class is ADAM. owh! no one cud resist his sarcastis jokes. it was very hurtful to hear those words that came out from his mouth. but, we're close friends. like i've told u before. me, farid, n him. haha. adam is a science person. he cud think like a genius n like a scientist during a young age. he loved game so much! i love to fight with him cz it was fun. no one cud ever understand how i can get along with this two boys that annoyed the class soo much. haha. i neva failed to laff each time i recalled bout our memories together. fyi, only us can understand our own jokes. hahak!

new mobile phone

okies..i'm heading to my happiness. hehehe.. for now, i'm able to smile n say that i've almost everything that i want. i'm currently in a relationship,my family is getting better and better each day, my understanding n loving friends are all around to help me during the hard times, n i achieved a very good results in my spm. alhamdulillah. thank you ALLAH for giving me all this happiness.

since i got a good result in my spm, my parents asked me what i want for a present. i answer : NEW MOBILE PHONE!!!! ahahahaha... n guess what?..my wish is granted!

my parents bought me a new sony ericsson Z610i. but, it's pink! hehehe..i never thought that i wud have a pink stuff. kinda funny neway. but it's lovely. my brother said it suits me well. cz he said that i shud show my feminine side more. pink is so very girlish. i agreed.

my brother asked, why i didn't buy a cybershot or a wlkman?.. i said it's too expensive. pity my parents. well, my result wasn't that excellent to qualified my to get such an expensive gift. neway, tis phone is good enaf. it has everything that i wanted in a mobile phone. 3G, nice camera function, big memory card (it's up to 1gig y'all!!), n the most important thing is, it's a flip phone!

hahaha..my frens said nothing bout da color. n they're loving it too. my phone is not so very faymes. i never saw it before. but, wuteva it is, i still love it!

but as always, i had a problem with da songs. too many rock kapak inside. hehehe. gotta delete it and save only certain rock kapak song that i laff like bumiputera rockers, n some wings n search songs. well, rock kapak still rawkz!!!
